Chanel Kim, BS
Chanel graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Product Design. At Stanford, she led Stanford Womxn in Design and pursued design research experiences in Cambodia, Japan, and India. Previously, she was a product designer at Workit Health, trying to increase access to substance use care and mitigate opioid addiction. She has been featured in the SF Chronicle for designing UI for Dear Visitor, an augmented reality experience bringing justice to Chanel Miller and other sexual assault survivors.
Currently, Chanel is a Kleiner Perkins Design Fellow at Nextdoor, designing ways to mitigate incivility and bias on the digital platform. She's passionate about community-based participatory research, tech ethics, and health equity. She is also an amateur illustrator, aspiring jeweler, and textile-lover!
