Griffin Somaratne
Griffin is a junior at Stanford pursuing a B.S. in Product Design and a B.A. in Psychology. He is a researcher and a designer currently taking time off to explore these processes outside of classes. Most recently, he worked with a tutoring nonprofit created by the founder of Khan Academy to design their interface, branding, and iconography.
At Stanford, Griffin is a user researcher and designer on a medical device team through the School of Medicine and a researcher in a developmental psychology study through the Social Concepts Lab. He hopes to explore applications of design and psychology in healthcare, education, technology, and media to create accessible and equitable experiences. Outside of that, he is most often binging shows, appreciating the various cultural moments on Tik Tok, creating visual art, or writing.
